POURING THE CONCRETE FLOOR |
|
| 9/17/09 | |
| Its the day before the concrete trucks arrive. All the preliminary work has been done: the sewer line is in; the drainage trench is installed; the floor is up to grade and compacted; the vapor barrier is in place. Marty Morgan and his helper Frank Duguay are on site to help with final preparations for the pour. | |

| Gene Knox, Marty Morgan, Bob Stickney, and Frank Duguay lay out the wire mesh which will be pulled up into the concrete during the pour. Later in the day, Bob and Louise Stickney tied the mesh panels together. |

| Marty Morgan and his crew (Frank and Chop) met Club members John Blais, Gene Knox, and Bob Stickney at the crack of dawn to begin work for the day. | |

Marty Morgan, owner of Morgan Concrete, donated all the labor for pouring the floor, and he put in plenty of hard work himself! That's Marty crouching down. Thank you Marty for your generous donation! |

One section at a time, the floor gets
poured. |

Meanwhile, Chris Dickson,
John Blais, and Bob Stickney construct forms to create a pad at the
north and south pass-through doors. |

Later in the day, after
the concrete was set up, Marty and Chop came back to do the finish work
on the floor. It looks great! |

Still later in the day,
Gene Knox, John Blais, and Louise Stickney applied Cure & Seal to
the floor. This product slows the cure rate so that the concrete
can develop its full strength. |

| 9/19/09 | |
| Gene Knox and Louise Stickney arrive the next moring to apply a second coat of the Cure & Seal to the section of the floor where the Tucker and drag will be parked. | |
