FRAMING, continued

9/28/08 - It turns out that John Blais did a whole lot more than just squaring off the ends of the planks.  He actually assembled four, 12-foot sections of the east wall in his garage!

John, Chris Dickson, Bob Stickney, and Sam Stickney loaded the sections onto a trailer and transported them in the rain to the building site.   Thanks go to Chris Dickson for letting John use his power nailer.

The assembled wall sections await the Monday morning crew.

9/29/08 - By noontime Monday, the east wall was up and braced.

Gene and Tom

Gene, Tom, and Bob work

on the south wall.

Bob, Tom, Gene, and Fern put up a section of the north wall.

By 3 o'clock quitting time, the groomer garage is really starting to take shape!

9/30/08 - Today, the headers above the overhead doors get put in.

Bob Milligan brings lumber inside in preparation

for building the overhead door headers.

Bob Milligan and Gene Knox are on the staging.  Below are

Tom Reed, Fern Dumoulin and Ivan Arsenault.

At midday, the Advantec sheathing arrives in time for the next phase of construction.
