GROOMER GARAGE AND MAINTENANCE SHOP:

A DREAM BECOMES A REALITY

In 2003, the Rumford Polar Bears Snowmobile Club decided that a groomer garage and maintenance shop was needed.  In June of 2003, the Club received approval from the Town of Rumford for a 99 year lease on a two acre parcel of land near the public boat launch on Route 2.

Since that time, the Club has been raising money to construct the building and we are about 2/3 of the way toward our goal of $50,000.  The decision was made to begin construction and launch a fundraising push later on to raise money for the completion of the building.

In June of 2008, the Rumford Selectmen signed the lease and several Club volunteers began to clear the lot in preparation for construction of the groomer garage and maintenance shop.
