Trail Report
1/18/2024
The Rumford Polar Bears trails are open, thanks to our awesome volunteers!.
The cold temperatures we are having will help to freeze any remaining water holes and swampy areas. Riding on some trails will be marginal because we’ve had many washouts from the flooding in December and it’ll take another foot or so of snow to smooth them out.
The photo below shows a bridge on Trail 12 in Rumford Center. Obviously, this will not be passable until we have really cold weather to freeze up this water hole. Haven’t heard yet if the water hole below on Trail 12 has frozen up enough to allow traffic. We’ll let you know when it does.
